Our Story

Discover the story behind Byrne Milling, where our love for wood, the outdoors, and working with family inspired us to create custom milled pieces locally in Bolingbroke Ontario.

In 2020, during a period of unexpected downtime, our family of five, spent many days helping clear trails and remove storm-damaged and aging trees from a forested property. What started as a practical task quickly grew into a fascination with the natural beauty hidden inside each log.

We began experimenting with small projects, learning how to mill, shape, and finish wood in ways that respected both its character and its history. Five years later, that passion has only grown stronger. Along the way, we’ve invested in the right tools, refined our techniques, and committed ourselves to producing high-quality, handcrafted pieces that celebrate the uniqueness of every tree.

Today, Byrne Milling is built on the same spirit that started it all—creativity, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for the natural materials we work with.

Quality Wood

At Byrne Milling, we offer quality wood harvested sustainably, such as black walnut, oak, cherry, maple, spalted maple, and cedar. Every piece is milled on-site, ensuring our dedication to quality. We focus on custom made pieces suited to the natural shape of the wood.
